Congratulations to the OHS One Act Play for getting 2nd place and advancing to the Area round. Devan Eason received an all-Star crew award. Naomi Madrid received honorable mention All-Star cast. Santiago Baca received All-Star cast honors, and Annabelle Chisholm received best performer. They will perform at the Area competition in Crosby on April 11th.
OHS UIL students competed in the district contest held at East Chambers High School on March 25. Orangefield won the sweepstakes trophy. Congratulations to the students who placed and who advanced to the regional meet to be held April 26.

Orangefield High School students Embrie Manshack, Hannah Block, Elyse Gunter, and Blair Butler attended the 2025 SETX Women in Industry luncheon on Tuesday, March 25.
This annual initiative brings together 25+ industrial facilities that collaboratively plan a series of events each year for local female high school students interested in pursuing careers in industry.

On Thursday, local golf teams competed in the Lumberton Invitational, which was held at Henry Homberg, in Beaumont. Lincoln Parks fired a 3 under 69, to finish in the top spot. Orangefiled’s team, consisting of Lincoln Parks, Cole Sanches, Peyton Revia, Branden Greenway, and Logan Anderson combined for a season low team score of 322, to take home 1st Place. For most schools in the area, this was the last tune up before the District Championships.

The Orangefield JV boys golf team competed in the Hardin-Jefferson Invitational on Wednesday. They finished in 3rd place, led by Dacius Lytle, shooting a 96. Other members of the team are Kaine Kendrick (100), Andy Rutledge(101), Davey Hogg(105), and Anthony Thomas(129). Congratulations Bobcats!

Orangefield High School students in Mrs. Spears' Principles of Education and Training classes bussed over to the elementary and hosted the annual Rodeo Day for the kindergarten. They exhibited teamwork and leadership skills. The HS students created five stations for the kindergarteners that correlated with their social studies unit on Texas. A great time was had by all!





On March 7, the OHS Speech and Debate team celebrated National Speech and Debate Education Day, sponsored by the National Speech and Debate Association. NSDE Day is an annual celebration that honors and promotes the activity of scholastic speech and debate on the first Friday in March. Members of the team earn points at each contest and are eligible for membership in the NSDA Honor Society.

THSCA Academic All State

Tuesday night, three Orangefield High School students participated in the Texas Citizen Bee, held at Lamar State College Port Arthur, where they were tested on their knowledge of U.S. History, Civics and Current Events. Madison KC, Alex Valentinis-Dee, and Jackson Droddy represented Orangefield in the 1st round. Valentinis-Dee advanced to the final round but fell short of the victory by a close margin. Congratulations to all three on doing such an outstanding job of representing OHS!
