A huge thank you to Dr. McAlpin for coming to speak to Mrs. Spears' Ready, Set, Teach students. He shared his background and all of the different positions he’s held within the district. He also shared information about professionalism and legal/ethical responsibilities associated with a career in education. He brought prizes and kept them all entertained. It was very informative and extremely motivating!

Golden Pass generously supports Orangefield High School Applied Agricultural Engineering Program of Study with a $12,500 dollar donation. This is an investment in our students, becoming tomorrow’s workforce. Thank you Golden Pass Pipeline.

Did you know that we have not only one, but two college instructors on our high school campus? Mrs. Van Huis is an embedded teacher on our campus. Her students will work towards a Patient Care Technician Certification while earning high school and college credit. We also have the pleasure of having Dr. Sanford on our campus this year teaching dual credit Anatomy and Physiology. Thank you to these instructors for all of your hard work in preparing our students for life after high school!

Jody Gray and Al Reyes with Entergy presented OISD with numerous school supplies to start the school year. Items included pencils, paper, spiral notebooks, binders, pens, and Expo markers. We greatly appreciate Entergy’s generosity!
2024 High School yearbooks are in! 2024 graduates can pick up their yearbook at the high school office. Students attending OHS this year may pick up their yearbook from Mrs. Taylor in Room 103.
