Mrs. Herrington’s 3rd Grade Challenge Class has been hard at work researching and creating projects on Endangered Animals this year. Today, they had a special opportunity to share their knowledge and present their projects to Mrs. Tran’s 2nd Grade Challenge Class!
It was a wonderful moment of learning, collaboration, and inspiration between grade levels. Great job to all our young conservationists!

Orangefield Elementary is incredibly grateful for the generosity of Tri-Con and Exxpressmart, who donated $500 to our school! A huge thank you to James Buchanan for presenting this generous gift on their behalf. Your support makes a difference in our students' education, and we truly appreciate it!

Egg-citing things are hatching in Pre-K! Our Pre-K 4 students have been eagerly waiting, and the moment has finally arrived—our baby chicks are hatching! From watching the eggs in the incubator to seeing tiny beaks breakthrough, this has been an unforgettable experience filled with wonder and excitement. Not only are we learning about life cycles, but we’re also making egg-stra special memories along the way!

Orangefield Elementary students will display their artwork at the Ford Park exhibit hall from March 27th to April 6th at the YMBL South Texas State Fair.

Yesterday, our talented second graders took us on an unforgettable journey through the rainforest with their program, "Singing in the Rainforest." Through songs and performances, they introduced us to the vibrant wildlife of the rainforest, including toucans, pythons, agoutis, spider monkeys, red-eyed tree frogs, and the beautiful blue morpho butterfly.
Their hard work and enthusiasm brought the rainforest to life, making it a fun and educational experience for all! Thank you to Mrs. Blake for her hard work and dedication in creating such a fantastic show! We also appreciate everyone who helped make this performance so special. Your efforts truly made it an unforgettable experience for all! Bravo, second graders!

OES Parents: PJ & Hat Day on Friday! Students can wear pjs and/or hats on Friday, March 14th for $2!

Kindergarten students wrapped up their Texas unit with an exciting Rodeo hosted by the RST program at the high school on Friday! They had a blast watching the events and cheering on the participants. To make the celebration even more special, they enjoyed learning fun Texas facts and tasting some delicious Texas-themed snacks. It was the perfect way to bring their Texas unit to life!

Mrs. Verrett’s 3rd-grade class celebrated Texas Public School Week by putting their financial literacy skills to the test, planning a "Texan Meal" for their families! Students carefully selected ingredients, calculated costs, and tracked their spending using Google Sheets, analyzing their totals with built-in graphs to stay within budget. They designed personalized menu covers in Canva to bring their meal to life, incorporating creative elements that reflected their chosen dishes.
Way to go, 3rd graders! Your budgeting and design skills are as strong as a Texan!
